Violence Prevention

The Violence Prevention division of Enlace Chicago works to address the issue of youth and gang violence in the Little Village neighborhood. The division runs the Violence Prevention Collaborative, a collective of 24 deeply committed organizations and individuals working toward a just and peaceful community through organizing, advocating and coordinating programs that seek to reduce violence and address issues of economic and social justice

The collaborative also integrates and leads similar projects or collaborations including the Illinois Latino Juvenile Justice Network through the National Council of La Raza. The Violence Prevention Division also runs the Safety Net Works program through the state of Illinois and CeaseFire ran through the University of Illinois at Chicago.
