Castellanos

Enlace is partnering with Rosario Castelanos Middle School in an effort to enhance the school experience of our students and foster community development through education.  This initiative is in alignment with both Enlace Chicago's and the school's mission to promote an innovative and safe educational environment in which all stakeholders (school adminitstrators, teachers, parents, students and community members) work together to produce productive and responsible community members through integrated and sustainable community development. 

This partnership transforms public schools into Community Schools in which the school space remains open after-school hours and during the weekend in an effort to offer a variety of classes, services, events and opportunities for youth families, and the broader Little Village community.  Therefore, a Community School is both a place and a partnership approach that mobilizes an array of resources, services, supports and opportunities leading to improved student learning, stronger families, and healthier communities.
