Last Monday, October 23rd, Enlace joined the official launch of the “Get Out the Vote” campaign organized by ICIRR. The launch took place in Federal Plaza and its goal is to encourage Illinois residents to cast their vote this coming November 8th.
Azucena Sanchez, Immigration Organizer, tells us that Enlace, along with other organizations, is actively participating in the campaign, making phone calls to residents of District 22 to remind them about the upcoming election and provide information on available resources, including polling places.
In this coming election we will be electing:
U.S Senator Governor and Lt. Governor
Attorney General
Secretary of State
U.S. House of Representative
Illinois Senate
Illinois House
Illinois Supreme Court
Appellate Court
Illinois Appellate Court
If you wish to cast your vote early and you live in the 22nd ward, you can do it at Toman Library, 2708 S. Pulaski Rd.
All 50 Ward Early Voting sites will be open from October 24 through November 8 (Election Day). These sites are open Weekdays from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm; Saturdays from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm; Sundays from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm; and on Election Day (Nov. 8) from 6:00 am to 7:00 pm.
